As fall approaches and the election is approaching it is more important than ever to stay engaged and vigilant in these trying times. The administration continues to flout the law and the courts in its efforts to persecute immigrants and terrorize our communities. Please see the many opportunities for action listed below and contribute as much of your time and resources as possible.

🚨 Sept. 5 Action Alert

Join us for a Picket and Vigil at the Centennial ICE Field Office to mark the anniversary of ICE Watch, which started Labor Day weekend 2025! If we don’t get no justice, they don’t get no peace!

💡 Proactive Community Defense

A major takeaway from recent meetings was the critical need to get information to our neighbors before they are in the clutches of ICE. Rapid response is vital, but early prevention and “Know Your Rights” education are equally important.

1. Vote NO on 95: WKUS officially endorses a NO on 95 vote. We have a new one-pager available detailing why we must defeat this—please grab a copy to distribute in your community.

👁️ Centennial ICE Watch Update

Hello everyone! Here is this month’s official statement. Centennial ICE Watch started as a direct action but has sustainably evolved to help immigrants with appointments and collect information. Our priority is keeping volunteers safe, non-threatening, and avoiding arrest.

• Increased Activity & Shock Gloves: ICE activity at the field office has significantly increased, even on weekends. Agents are wearing high-visibility vests or plain clothes. Disturbingly, we overheard agents discussing a shipment of electric shock gloves and saw them retrieved for a raid.
• Vehicle Fleet: Volunteers have logged hundreds of plates. Common raid vehicles include dark Chevy Tahoes/Ford SUVs, Subarus, dark Jeep SUVs, black/silver Dodge Chargers, pickup trucks, and a Bearcat SWAT vehicle marked “HOMELAND SECURITY.” Many fleet cars now have personal stickers (like Broncos).
• Call for Volunteers: We are expanding to the Frederick field office and the GEO detention center in Aurora! We urgently need more weekday volunteers to track movements and assist people. (Note: Not recommended for folks in direct mutual aid or with at-risk loved ones, as ICE often takes photos).

Court Watch Update

We have continued seeing a shift in scheduling of hearings, where on some days very large numbers of cases are being seen all at once. Having enough people at the courthouse to observe inside the building and observe and pass out flyers outside the building is very important on packed days like this! We are very short of afternoon (1200-4p) volunteers so if you have the time and the drive please JOIN this daily presence at the Federal Immigration Court, 1961 Stout St. in Denver. Volunteers provide our immigrant friends with important information and resources, monitor for ICE presence, and observe in courtrooms. Court Watch shifts are two hours, Monday-Friday, 7:30 am-4:00 pm. On-site training provided. Sign up to volunteer HERE.
